Awesome little place - fantastic location with great views - Hermanus was a great host with lots of quality tips and information - breakfast was brilliant on the patio overlooking the bay - stayed for six nights and enjoyed our time 100% with no complaints at all - A+++ service from all involved – don’t hesitate to book for here - been to Camps Bay four times now and this is by far the best location/guest house yet!
Did Cape Point and Boulders Bay to see the penguins, walked the mountain, did the wine tour, dived with sharks, rode in the Huey over the coast and experienced 'Gold' - and went to the Waterfront and Camps Bay bars several times for cocktails n sundowners - venue truly marvellous.

Simply great! Located at a short walk distance from the beach, the bars and restaurants. The manager was very nice, recommended nice restaurants and better yet the ones to stay away from, he even upgraded our room since he had a vacancy available! Great ocean view during breakfast and everything prepared with lots of love from the lovely Sylvia. Will definitely return!

After a long flight from London, we were welcomed by Sylvia with tea and freshly baked bran muffins (thanks Hermanus for the recipe!). As we liked them so much Sylvia very kindly kept a couple that were left over from breakfast for us to have in the evenings.

We stayed in the Buffalo room - double bed downstairs with single bed upstairs as well as a spacious bathroom. The room has a safe and balcony with a side view of the sea (if the weather hadn't been so 'British' we would have spent a lot more time on the balcony and by the pool). Fruit was provided in the room to snack on.

We met the owner, Hermanus at breakfast the next morning. He was very welcoming and eager to offer recommendations of where to go and and restaurant suggestions. If we needed anything booked or arranged - nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed the fact that we could use the dining/living area and kitchen to make ourselves a cup of tea in the evening as well as having free use of the computer to catch up on e-mails.

Breakfast was lovely - toast, cereal, fruit, yoghurt and cold meats as well as a cooked breakfast made to order. The scrambled eggs were delicious!

The Guesthouse is only 5 minutes walk to the beach and nearby restaurants and shops. However, due to the steep hill it takes twice as long to get back! Good exercise for the legs.

As we had a late flight, Hermanus very kindly let us have the room for the whole day at no extra charge.

Will certainly be recommending the Guesthouse to others and will visit again the next time I'm in Camps Bay!

We had a wonderful stay here. Hermanus and Silvia couldn't have been more helpful… On our arrival Silvia had coffee and fresh muffins for us this hospitality continued through our 5 nights there... Breakfast was a real treat the choice was great and included anything you could wish for... Location is perfect being only a few minuets walk from the beach and to the bars and restaurants. Accommodation is clean and really nicely decorated; our room had access to a balcony where you could get a great view of the sun setting... On our final day we weren't flying out till midnight and Hermanus very kindly let us keep the room and park our car there till we were leaving. Couldn't recommend this highly enough...

We were given a fantastic welcome on arrival and throughout our stay we were given wonderfully friendly support and help with our stay. The guesthouse is perfectly situated, with the restaurants of Camps Bay being around the corner and Table Mountain looming behind.
The guest house is beautifully presented and was the nicest place we stayed I on our travels around South Africa. I'll definitely return here, when we next come to Cape Town.

Camps Bay Guest House is excellent - very close to Camps Bay beach, lovely rooms and a great balcony to sit out on overlooking the sea. Hermanus and his assistant are very helpful and the breakfast was superb! I would definitely go back if in Cape Town.

This accommodation gives you access to Camps Bay albeit up on the hillside. This gives you great views and there is a fabulous view of the sunset from the terrace. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. You can walk to the beach, restaurants and shop and Hermanus the manager is happy to make reservations for you. Or you can just enjoy the accommodation and have a restful stay. Just remember as you are going down hill you have to come back up to get back to accommodation! There is also secure parking on request.

The location of this guest house provides great views down to the ocean but as it is located up quite a steep hill it is not easily accessible on foot if you have a weak heart. Whilst the location is good what really makes this establishment is the quality of the manager Hermanus and his staff. Hermanus is extremely friendly and eager to please and a mine of information about the locality and the Cape Town area generally. He is only too pleased to make reservations for restaurants and taxis and has a great sense of humour. His staff are also very friendly and helpful and make a great breakfast omelette. Our room was large and spacious with a split level, having the bathroom and a single bed upstairs.

The view from the sundeck is fantastic; you see the ocean and Camps Bay beach. We saw whales from the sundeck. You can stroll down to the beach and restaurants or hang out by the pool. The rooms are light and clean with towels provided. Breakfast is included with lovely fruit and eggs on order, and you can also have your laundry done. I will certainly recommend this place to others!

The owner and staff at Camps Bay guesthouse are friendly, helpful and welcoming, which I particularly appreciated as I was travelling alone.

The guesthouse is very attractively decorated and has wonderful views down to Camps Bay from the sunny deck area. It is in a great position, because it only takes three minutes to walk to the beach and all the restaurants and amenities in Camps Bay. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone thinking of staying in Cape Town.
